[Update on 2018.09.19] Call for abstracts has ended.  

Hosted by the HKUST Institute for Emerging Market Studies, the 9th Annual Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) Research Conference on Population Aging will be held on December 7-8, 2018 at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology. The theme of this year’s conference is “Dementia, Cognition, and Healthy and Productive Aging”.

Call for Abstracts

The conference welcomed submission of papers or 3-page extended abstracts for paper presentations at the conference by September 16, 2018. 

We are delighted to have received over 140 submissions covering a wide range of topics such as

  • Dementia and cognitive function of the elderly, including measurement, determinants, and consequences for work and elderly care
  • Health care and long-term care
  • Extending working lives, pensions, and retirement
  • Elderly well-being, including economic, social, and physical and mental health

Selection results are being announced by emails within this week.  Candidates who do not hear from us by 5pm on Oct 12 (Friday) HKT can consider their submissions not selected.
