Alicia Garcia-Herrero, Faculty Associate of the Institute, was quoted in a South China Morning Post article on One Belt One Road. She mentioned that within next five years China would focus on rail development when investing in Africa.
The article mentioned that Africa benefited from trading partnership with China during past twenty years. Among opportunities arising for Africa from trading partnership with China were also named currency investment and transfer of labor made more possible after one belt one road initiative introduction.
