SCMP Education Post published a research summary by Chair Professor Jiatao (JT) Li and co-author Carmen Ng of the Management Department. They looked into the non-performing loans that have been a widespread problem both in developed and developing countries and attempted to find out the best way to deal with such a problem, including an important factor that leaves out by many: the social identity of the debtor.
