Hong Kong Economic Journal carried a commentary by IEMS’ Edwin Lai on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Professor Lai gave an introduction to the TPP trade agreement reached last year between 12 countries, and stated that the TPP will facilitate economic growth in the region. He also explained the potential benefits of TPP to China which, as the agreement promotes transparency, good governance, and environmental protection, should assist China with its internal reform efforts in each of these areas.
