Call for Book Proposals - World Scientific Series in Chinese Business, Innovation, Investment and Economic Growth

The Chinese economy has served as an engine for global economic growth, innovation and investment over the past three decades. This series, which will include texts, monographs, edited volumes, handbooks, and multi-volume reference materials of major research importance, addresses numerous topics in Chinese business, innovation, investment, and economic growth. Examples of cutting-edge research topics in this series include the future of work, marketing in a digital world, entrepreneurship and innovation, Chinese family business, foreign direct investment, strategic leadership, human resource management, corporate governance, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) interests, accounting and finance, digital innovation and transformation, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), global trade in a transformative era, and many others. Insights from this series will be of great interest to academics, managers in the private and public sectors, policymakers, state and regional economic development officials, and students. Given the highly interdisciplinary nature of the subjects, contributors will come from a variety of fields in business and management, as well as many social sciences and engineering-related disciplines, including economics, sociology, political science, psychology, legal studies, environmental policy, and technology management.

About the Editor

Dr. Jiatao (JT) Li is Chair Professor of Management, Lee Quo Wei Professor of Business, Director of the Center for Business Strategy and Innovation, and Senior Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Study, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is a Fellow of the Academy of International Business (AIB) and an area editor of the Journal of International Business Studies (2016–2025). He served as an Associate Editor of the Strategic Management Journal from 2009 to 2016. His current research interests are in the areas of organizational learning, strategic alliances, corporate governance, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with a focus on issues related to global firms and those from emerging economies. His work has appeared in leading academic journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, and Journal of Management. He is currently serving as a member of the editorial boards of leading journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of International Business Policy, Global Strategy Journal, and Long Range Planning, among others. He was Program Chair of the Strategic Management Society’s special conference held in Hong Kong in December 2016. He also served as Vice President and Program Chair of the 2018 Academy of International Business annual conference in the US.
