The Hong Kong Economic Journal carried an article by IEMS’ Edwin Lai, Professor of Economics, sharing his views on the global economic risks ahead. He looked into three underlying risks around the world, including the possible slowdown of the mainland economy, the low price in commodities futures market, and the possibility of a significant US interest rate hike, all of which would affect the global economy in a different way or potentially lead to a double-dip recession.
