‘World Economy: China’s New Role’ – HKUST 25th Anniversary Dinner Conference

IEMS Director Albert Park joined EY Global Vice Chair of Tax Jay Nibbe in attending the HKUST 25th Anniversary Celebration conference dinner in Beijing on Sept. 22nd. Earlier, Mr. Nibbe had spoken at HKUST as part of the celebration’s Distinguished Speakers Series, sharing insight on how technology, globalization, and emerging markets are affecting the workforce.

The Beijing event was hosted by the HKUST Business School to discuss the future role of China in the world economy and was attended by renowned academics and business leaders. Keynote speaker and Nobel laureate Sir Christopher Pissarides (HKUST) addressed Chinese economic development; while Prof. Justin Lin, from Peking U.’s China Center for Economics Research, joined panelists from the business school to discuss the challenges and opportunities of China’s growth.
