IEMS Director Albert Park commented on Trump’s unfolding stance on China in an article for TheStreet. Trump’s appointment of Iowa Gov. Terry Branstadm, has left observers hopeful, but government mouthpiece China Daily warns that “a diplomat’s success to a great extent hinges on his country’s foreign policies.”
“If he really is challenging the one China policy, it will create a major confrontation that would be very destructive to U.S.-China relations,” cautioned Albert Park.
This follows a similar article from last month exploring what Trump could mean for China relations.
