Blockchain to revolutionize post-pandemic shipping industry, suggests Huang

Allen HUANG, associate professor of accounting at the HKUST and IEMS Faculty Associate, believes that the global shipping industry will need a revolutional increase in efficiency after the pandemic subsides, and the blockchain technology will be the key to such a transformation.
Citing the example of TradeLens, a global shipping blockchain solution offered by IBM in collaboration with Maersk, he explains two major aspects in which blockchain helps traders and shippers increase efficiency.
