科大主辦「就業與發展會議」 首度移師亞洲舉行 匯聚全球頂尖專家 探討AI及經濟轉型下的未來工作新格局
Bauhinia Magazine (紫荊網) reported on HKUST's Jobs and Development Conference 2026, one of the University's 35th anniversary celebration events. This was the first time the flagship international conference was held in Asia. It brought together more than 100 leading economists, policymakers and industry experts to discuss the labor market, emerging skill needs and economic transformation. It was organized by the HKUST Institute for Emerging Market Studies (IEMS) with the World Bank, UNU-WIDER, the ILO and other international partners. Topics included AI and technological change, inclusive and decent work, skills and lifelong learning, and demographic shifts.
