The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Asian Development Bank Institute, in collaboration with The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology will co-host the 5th Asian Economic Development Conference on 13-14 June 2026 in Hong Kong, China, supported by the IEMS.
We invite researchers to submit their original research proposals to contribute to innovative economic solutions addressing the development challenges of Asia and the Pacific. Join us in shaping the future of regional economic progress through cutting-edge research and collaboration.

The submission deadline has been extended to 31 January 2026. Interested authors should register here to submit papers by the extended deadline. Only completed papers with an accompanying abstract will be considered for evaluation. Submissions will be assessed based on originality, analytical rigor, and policy relevance within the Asian context. Decisions on paper acceptance will be announced in March and April 2026.
Authors of accepted papers may be invited to submit their work for publication in a Mini Symposium in the Asian Development Review (ADR).
