South China Morning Post reported that Albert Park, Director at the HKUST Institute for Emerging Market Studies, that Myanmar, along with more than 60 other countries, can greatly benefit from China’s Belt and Road initiative. Priority of the project is investment in infrastructure development that will eventually lead to a better economic development of the participating countries.
Park believes that Hong Kong’s expertise could play a big role in Myanmar’s infrastructure development. HKUST Business School (in collaboration with IEMS and SKOLKOVO) has already launched a seminar series aimed to provide information in order to help Hong Kong businesses and investors make right decisions while investing in foreign projects.
